It’s been two years since we last had a regular worship service in person. This Sunday, March 13, we will return to in-person worship at 10:30 AM.
Things will be a little different, so here’s what you need to know:
Daylight Saving Time Begins
Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday at 2:00 AM, when we skip ahead an hour. So set your clocks forward, or you may miss our first Sunday back.
If you’re sick, stay home
If you have symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you have had a positive COVID-19 test, please stay home. We plan to have a live-stream option (see below).
Vaccinations Required
We will require proof of vaccination against COVID-19 for all persons 12 and older. Make sure you bring your vaccination card with you.
Masks Required
We will be requiring people to wear face coverings.
Social Distancing
We will have alternate rows of pews marked off. Additionally, please remain at least six feet away from others who are not in your household.
Individual Communion Cups
We will be providing individual communion cups with wafers as you enter. We will not be sharing from a common loaf and cup.
Children will remain in pews
During Children’s Moment, children will remain in pews, as worship will be live-streamed (see below).
Observe Confidentiality During Prayer
As we will be live-streaming (see below), please be respectful of people’s privacy when offering prayer. For example, maybe “prayers for Beatrix” instead of “prayers for Beatrix Potter for her infected rabbit foot.”
Livestreaming
We plan to try to livestream the service on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZkNXfwWyq5uXEcfU365caA (we know it’s a complicated link – we can’t personalize it until we get enough subscribers). If you are unable to attend in person, please try to watch there. After the livestream is over, you should still be able to go to that page and find our video.
We hope you will join us in person. Thank you for sticking with us through these difficult times.
Blessings,
Pastor Cindi
